Doug Shafer

Chief Financial Officer

Doug brings 30+ years of financial and operational experience to iovation as the company’s chief financial officer. He is responsible for the worldwide strategic financial and operational leadership of iovation.

Prior to iovation, Doug spent 20 years at Tektronix, where he held several senior-level positions in the U.S. and Europe including President, Americas Operations, Vice President and Treasurer, Policy Committee Member, and Finance Manager for Tektronix's German subsidiary and the company's European Operations. During his tenure, he was responsible for managing the Americas Operations with revenues of $150 million and led the transition of the Americas, Asia, and European operations into the business lines to create independent worldwide businesses. This move enabled Tektronix to successfully sell its Color Printer business to Xerox and video business to Grass Valley Group.

Doug steered Tektronix's video compression product line into spinoff, VideoTele.com, where he served as president and CEO. Under his guidance, VideoTele.com introduced a new product to capture the video over DSL market. The company was sold to Tut Systems, which was later bought by Motorola.

Most recently, Doug served as CFO at Unicru, a software solutions provider of hiring management solutions. At Unicru, he instituted a financial and operational discipline that moved the company from annual losses to sustained profitability. During his tenure, Unicru doubled its revenue over a three year period before the company was purchased by Kronos for $150 million.

Doug holds a B.S. in Finance from Portland State University and an M.B.A. from the University of Oregon.
