Device Fingerprinting Ranked in Top 3 Most Effective Tools at Fighting Fraud
At the recent Merchant Risk Council conference, the Cybersource fraud survey reported on which fraud tools companies have already implemented, which tools they plan to implement, and which tools have been found most effective. While device fingerprinting is currently only in use by 7% of participating companies, a large majority have it planned for implementation within the next 12 months. Of those companies already using device fingerprinting, it was listed as one of the top three most effective tools used to fight online fraud and abuse.
