As 2014 comes to a close, I’d like to take a moment and thank all of our clients and partners for their continued business and support.
It’s been an outstanding year for iovation thanks to the amazing fraud teams we get the opportunity to work with every day. We’re lucky to have some of the best clients in the world who work hard to protect their business and customers while helping others in the process.
During this holiday shopping season, we’ve seen mobile transaction volumes as high as 40 percent of overall traffic. We’ve seen this tipping point coming for years. Mobile is a quickly expanding channel that needs fraud protection tailored to the unique challenges it presents. That’s why our product team is focused on the changing mobile landscape and dedicated to keeping our mobile capabilities ahead of the curve.
In addition to mobile, we will be expanding our authentication capabilities in 2015. Many of our clients are looking for accurate low-friction solutions to authenticate customers and prevent account takeover. At iovation, 50 percent of the transactions we protect come through login. In the coming months we’ll be rolling out our own vision of device-based authentication—using customers’ devices as a second factor of authentication.
