Benefits of authentication for digital and physical delivery business models shared at CNP Expo
iovation, the provider of device intelligence for authentication and fraud prevention, today announced it will participate on the panel “Keep it Real: Assessing the State of the Art in Consumer Authentication” at the 2016 CNP Expo. In the panel discussion, iovation’s Vice President of Global Partnerships, Max Anhoury, will share insights about passwordless authentication for card-not-present (CNP) transactions, alongside experts from Bed Bath & Beyond, CardinalCommerce and Mitek.
“With all of the recent data breaches, a password no longer assures the person signing into an account or using a credit card is legitimate,” said Anhoury. “For years people have been predicting the death of the password, but that had yet to become a reality. With the mass introduction of EMV (Europay, MasterCard and Visa), the realization that the customer experience is just as important as stopping fraud and other factors, we are finally witnessing the tipping point for passwordless authentication solutions.”
In the panel, Anhoury and other experts will:
- Explain how authenticating a user either before or at the time of purchase can lead to fewer manual reviews and false positives
- Discuss the benefits of authentication for both digital and physical delivery business models
- Detail the various methods of authenticating users and the benefits of each

The panel discussion will take place at the Loews Royal Pacific Resort at Universal Orlando, Fla. on May 24 at 2 p.m. EDT.
